Straightedge

Area of Use

  • It is used to check the flatness of surfaces and parts in machine, slide and rail assemblies.

Description

  • Both control surfaces are precisely stoned.
  • It is manufactured in accordance with DIN norms and passes quality control.
  • The measurement protocol is given according to DIN 874 Page 1.
  • Sizes over 2000mm for 0 and 1st quality straightedges and 2500mm for 2nd quality straightedges are manufactured in I form in order to lighten the weight. Shorter sizes are manufactured in the form of flat bars.
  • 2 hand slots are opened from 2000mm for 0 and 1st quality straightedges and from 4000mm for 2nd quality straightedges.

  • DIN 874 Page 1
  • The flatness precision of the surfaces is as in the table below.

Upon Request

  • Custom production up to a maximum size of 7000x250x250mm.
  • Can be stoned at an angle between 45° and 90°.
Accuracy of Flatness in Linearity(µm)
  • For the flatness of the side surfaces, a factor of 3 applies.
  • The measure is valid 2 times the parallelism of the surfaces to each other.
  • Parallelism of the side surfaces is valid 6 times.
  • For the 90 degrees of the side surfaces to the measuring surface, a factor of 3 applies.
  • There is a tolerance of 0.5mm for corner breaks.
