Feather Straightedge

Area of Use

It is used to control the planarity and surface quality of surfaces that require high precision. It is used in many fields and sectors from the automotive industry to the steel industry, from manufacturing to assembly, from industry to craft works (guitar, saz, oud manufacturing). It is referred to as a Feather Straightedge because it has the precision of a feather.

The control surface is precisely lapped.
Light leak tightness control is performed on the control plate.
Flatness is suitable up to ±20°.
The blue plastic handle on the back of the feather straightedge is also to protect the straightedge from body heat.
Both surfaces of the Inox Feather Straightedge are sandblasted and matted.
The alloy steel was hardened (HRC 60 ±2), stress relieved and blackened.
Stainless Inox steel was hardened (HRC 52 ±2), stress relieved and sandblasted to a matte finish.
Shipped in a faux leather case or optionally in a wooden box.
It has a more precise quality than the DIN 874 Page 2 norm.
The tip is sharper than DIN 874 Page 2, so that deep channels can also be controlled.
